Finch’s Brasserie was established in Bloomington in June of 2008 by Chef Jeff Finch and Candace Finch. Chef Finch is a 1996 graduate of the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vermont. Candace is a 1993 graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in Architectural Design and has managed restaurants since 1999. The restaurant features local and organic produce, meats and cheeses from the area’s fine farms and cheese artisans.
The American Brasserie menu includes both traditional and regional dishes from the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea as well as local and American favorites. Diners can choose from Pizzettas cooked in the wood-fired oven, pasta dishes, savory entrees and daily specials. The seasonal menu is designed to showcase unique flavor combinations which can be enjoyed with a choice of more than 60 wines and close to 90 artisan beers.
Finch’s is a committed supporter of the Slow Food Movement (www.slowfoodusa.org) and the local farming community. Located in the heart of the BEAD Arts District, Finch’s is a proud supporter of Bloomington’s local artists, the Indiana University Auditorium, the IU Art Museum, Cardinal Stage Company and the Buskirk Chumley Theater.
